About Me

My Photo
Leipzig / Germany and Winterthur / Switzerland
We all carry images within us that randomly catch our eye as we experience things by chance. Uncovering these casually noticed images is the subject of my work. I often start with photos taken “by chance”, which I transfer using analog and digital methods into color and contrast compositions – this not only strengthens reality, it also puts it into perspective, expressing both anonymity and subjectivity. The multipurposeness of paper and the dilution of colors also play an important role in my work. For example, using gravure printing with photopolymer plates enhances the statement of each image, making the images irritating and – as consequence of the haptic presence of the subject – more lively and personal, but also very vulnerable
